It was a special Sunday, yesterday. Not only was it Mother's Day, it was also our church's ward conference. My brother Dan was released as a bishop as he is being called to serve in the stake presidency.
Although we didn't prepare a choir musical number (as was the practice), it was fun to hear the little primary kids sing songs. I was also feeling proud to hear my nephew, Henry, sing a duet with his friend.
Man, at 8 years old, he can sing, I tell you.
Too bad, they didn't give any tokens to all the mothers in the congregation as was the custom. Oh, my other nephew, Helaman, was also part of the primary's "choir," and I couldn't help but chuckle at him. He looked really cute while following his mama's actions, with his chinky eyes and all.
Following the sacrament meeting, my friends and I went on a little photo sesh near the temple grounds. The photos above were taken by my good friend/former primary teacher/former young women's president/ward missionary companion/relationship and business adviser, Jocelyn (but I call her Ate Jo).
We're not vain, really (promise!).
We're just helping Ate Jo build her portfolio by posting as her models (tehee).
Here are some of the photos she took:
Proof that we had fun on that day.
Our jumps of joy.
So that's about it.
Anyway, I gotta run. Hubby is going to treat me out to dinner tonight. Yipee!!
