So, how did it go?
So far, so good.
Josh liked it. Lindy, our house nanny, went on to get one more piece of whole wheat waffles.
What's more?
The each slice was so heavy on the stomach that we didn't need to eat lunch anymore. Talk about losing weight the healthy way!
Anyway, in case you'd want to make one yourself, here's the recipe:
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (I bought ours at the Ayala Gaisano grocery store for P87.50 a kilo)
1/3 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 oil (canola is healthier than ordinary cooking oil)
1 1/2 cup milk
Salt (I didn't mix salt so this one's optional)
Procedure:
1. Pre-heat your waffle maker.
2. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg. Then pour in the oil and milk.
4. Pour in the mixed liquid into the flour while stirring. Stir well. The batter will be slightly thick in texture but that's okay.
5. Pour the in your waffle maker.
And that's it!
If your waffle maker is in the same size as mine, then it'll probably yield 5 pieces of waffles. I doubled the recipe so I was able to make 10 pieces.
So that's about it! I hope you'll enjoy your waffles. I gotta go now. It's ladies' night out tonight with my girl friends. I'm so excited!
Hope you have a great weekend!

P.S. I'll be doing a move-out sale very soon.
