How was your weekend?
Mine?
Not so much.
Because of our imminent beach holiday, we wanted to cut on our expenses so we'll have cash to spend in the island.
Saturday noonish, however, I went to church for a stake primary activity. And because I wanted to save, I biked all the way from my house to church. At 1:30 in the friggin' afternoon!
I tell ya, it was scorching hot. Not a good idea. What was I thinking? (apparently, desperate to save 16 pesos from fare.)
Anyway, as a stake music chairman, conductor, or whatev, I was asked to teach little kiddos ages 5-ish to 11 years old how to conduct music. They were really cute, holding the hymn books and waving their arms. I had fun teaching them because they were so eager to learn, which made me realize (again) how important music and music conductors are to any church meetings.
On Sunday, we had another little photo sesh with Ate Jo and some friends before we went home. The above are just some of the pics she took of me.
Sunday evening was the most boring part. We had nothing do! Like, NOTHING. I think it was because we ate dinner early or have already watched all the church movies we can find on the net. We read the scriptures just to kill time, but we still had a lot on our hands with absolutely nothing to do.
It's this kind of time that I wish I have stake choir practice. But the 2nd stake conference is still a long way off, and I'm still waiting for inspiration for our next choir piece.
Oh well, I just have to think about Boracay and the adventure that awaits us this week.
Good night!
P.S. Please don't rain from Thursday to Sunday.
