Psss.... hey!
How are you?
It's been a long while since I last blogged. Ever since mom passed away, things around here are pretty hectic. First off, we cleaned our house and packed all of mom's stuff. We then gave them away to Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) victims. Dad couldn't bear the thought of seeing all her belongings in the bureau because they just break his heart. And he doesn't want to see anyone wearing her clothes, so it took a while to convince him to donate all her clothes. He cave in after hearing and seeing the devastating news but on a condition that we donate them to Leyte. Well, I don't blame him. I, too, don't want to see anyone using mom's stuff. It's just heart breaking, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, Christmas is fast approaching. Despite the sadness that this would be the first time we'll be celebrating the holiday without mom, we decided to still make this a festive season. After all, it's her favourite time of the year, so yes, we'll still have our Noche Buena, and the Filipino tradition and my family's all-time favourite Monito Manita. It's our own version of Secret Santa.
Speaking of which, we're only days away 'til Christmas, and we still haven't bought stuff for our Noche Buena. This leads me to say, I gotta go. Josh and I are going to the mall after lunch to do our Christmas shopping. But before I bid adieux, here's a video of our opening number at our company party:
